The story of Stonyfield Farm is well-known (www.stonyfield.com). From a nonprofit school teaching organic farming and with six cows, Stonyfield has grown into the largest organic yogurt manufacturer in the world. Stonyfield now produces a full range of organic yogurt options, as well as its incredible Oikos organic Greek yogurt and a selection of frozen yogurt and Oikos. As co-founder, Gary led the company as CE-Yo during for almost 30 years; and while the company has had exceptional growth and visibility, Gary and Stonyfield remain deeply committed to its educational and planetary missions. Through its informational lids, website, social and print media, Stonyfield teaches consumers that knowing what you eat and where your food comes from are at the center of a healthy lifestyle. Stonyfield's planetary mission is most clearly demonstrated through its work with thousands of local farmers and is particularly committed to local farmer/owners. Farmers who work with Stonyfield keep more than 180000 farm acres free of toxic, persistent pesticides.
Now as Chairman of Stonyfield, Gary has expanded his vision by creating Chelsea's Table.
His vision really grew from personal experience. Gary has always been committed to what he calls "real food." So you can imagine how he felt about all the fast-food joints on the road while traveling with his wife Meg and their three little yogurt eaters. “Held hostage to junk food” was the way he put it. And that’s how Chelsea's Table was born.
Gary wanted to make sure that as many people could try our organic and natural menu, so we have created both cafe and catering options. At Chelsea's Table, local ingredients are the inspiration for our mouth-watering menu. From the chicken in our flatbread sandwiches to the greens in our salads, we do our best to make sure it's local whenever possible and always organic or all-natural. Our famous fresh-baked organic flatbread, combined with all-natural and organic ingredients, make wholesome, delicious sandwiches you won't soon forget. For Catering we have more options that expand beyond our cafe and Overlook Restaurant menus.
